Twitter Space Recap: DAOs, Booze, and Brands

It was a casual chat - with more predictions than revelations - but one day we’ll look back and realize how last night’s Twitter Space was epic in its own right. Because, it’s just so clear we’re at the very beginning of something very big.
The founders some of the most exciting #IRLDAOs at the intersection of the blockchain, booze, and DAO-created/consumer-owned brands, convened to share their experiences thus far, and what excites them most about building communities on web3.
Here are a few takeaways that answer the question, ‘why DAO’?
We have a responsibility - and an opportunity - to make web3 more accessible.
Exemplary example: Whiskey Pioneers offered a conceptually accessible onramp to web3 for many members who’d yet to participate in this newest economy.
Let’s build the world we want to live in. No one else will do it for us.
It might start with something seemingly small - like cereal brought to market by the members of gmgn supply co. or a new whiskey brand launched by Whiskey Pioneers Fund II - but creating ways to let consumers design and develop the products they want is foundational to enabling individuals to make impactful choices for the world in which they live.
We love that web3 democratizes passion.
One of the really fun things about a distributed social wine club like Club dVIN is the opportunity to share the love of wine with those who might not be drawn to more traditional wine societies. Long term, Club dVIN aims to democratize access to wine at every level - from the consumer to the vintner. À votre santé!
