🇨🇳 Block Adoption - The Chinese city of Shanghai issued an implementation plan to promote the development of its urban blockchain digital infrastructure system.
🇪🇺 Tokenization - Securitize has issued the first tokenized equities under the EU’s pilot regime for digital assets. Trading with equity tokens on secondary markets will commence in September.
🇰🇷 Digital Won - The Bank of Korea will pilot its central bank digital currency in the regions of Jeju, Busan, and Incheon. Notably absent from the list: Seoul.
🇮🇹 Poly DeFi - Milano Hub, the bank of Italy’s innovation center, will support a project developed by Cetif Advisory with Polygon Labs to research a security token ecosystem.
🏦 New Fund - A&G, a Spain-based private banking entity, launched the first cryptocurrency fund under Spanish jurisprudence with $14B in assets under management.

💵 Compliant Development - Japanese blockchain developer HashPort raised an $8.5M series C round, led by Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, to effectively navigate the sophisticated global regulatory environment and expand its operations.
🪙 Trustless DeFi - Singapore-based on-chain fund Solv Protocol has raised $6M, led by Laser Digital, to continue the development of its trustless institutional DeFi platform and blockchain-based fund infrastructure to bridge DeFi, CeFi and TradFi liquidity.
