🎙 In the latest episode of DAO or Never, we’re sharing an interview between Logos co-founder Isaac Patka and Brandon Nolte of Quorum Media. Brandon asked Isaac about his early career days, the metamorphosis of Logos DAO, matchmaking within the DAO space, and more. Tune in to hear how an engineer from upstate New York found web3 and DAOs, and his vision for the future. Available on Apple and Spotify.

Highlights

🎨 Mile High IRL NFTs - Public Nouns holders voted to support a 5-month, free-to-the-public, NFT exhibit in Denver, CO. Illustrating public governance, visitors can claim a Polygon NFT and vote for their favorite piece. The winning artist will receive 1 ETH, while a percentage of sales will go to Big Green DAO to fight food injustice.

🔒 Safety First - When the news seems dark, you can look for the helpers, or you can be one. SafeDAO has responded to the FTX collapse by voting against enabling transferability of $SAFE. Also, in pursuit of better custodial solutions, Safe is committing $1,000,000 in grants to initiatives that advance self-custody or explore hybrid custody.

⚖️ Raising Standards - It’s getting easier for DAOs to adopt EIP-4824, an API standard focused on relating on- and off-chain representations of DAO membership and proposals. Spearheaded by DAOstar, the goal is to make DAOs easier to discover, more legible to their members, and more compatible with future tooling.

😯 He Said, She Said, They Said - The CFTC's lawsuit against Ooki has inspired growing support for the DAO. But, because the DAO was aware of the lawsuit – it was acknowledged in a tweet from the DAO and in a discussion between members in a DAO-run forum – the CFTC argues the notice was effectively served.

🌲 Nostalgia Calls - DWebCamp 2022 is summarized in the Redwood Parliament Sessions, a retelling of the games, workshops, and co-creative enablings of the 400 web3 builders and dreamers that convened under an umbrella of redwood trees.

Show Me the Money

💰 Valuing Better Communication - Congrats to web3 messaging infrastructure Notifi on your $10 million seed round led by Hashed and Race Capital. Notifi plans to expand its cross-chain messaging platform to Polygon, Avalanche, Aptos, and Sui.

🇪🇺 The Stars are Aligned - DAOstar - a roundtable of key organizations in the DAO ecosystem, collectively building interoperable standards and other public infrastructure for DAOs - received a 120K euro grant from the European Union’s Next Generation Internet (NGI) initiative to develop an integration between DAOstar and the NGI ONTOCHAIN project.
