Trending in 2023: DAOs Gain Credibility
🇲🇭 All in on DAOs - The Marshall Islands passed a law recognizing DAOs as legal entities. Organizations can register as LLCs and adopt DAO structures and governance tools. Says Bransen Wase, Finance Minister:
"The Marshall Islands commits its courts and its resources to the burgeoning world of decentralization, and recognizes the unique place decentralized autonomous organizations can hold, not just in the blockchain space, but in the broader economy."

🎧 Society - On The Future is DAO: Blockchain and Worker Rights, Cointelegraph’s Jonathan DeYoung and Ray Salmond are joined by the founders of LaborDAO and theCaféDAO to discuss the state of workers' rights in the US, and how the blockchain and DAOs can strengthen labor movements.
🏡 Family - FamilyDAO, descended from Nouns, is a Public Nouns style DAO offering daily, trustless auctions and a voice in managing a treasury that will support women and families in web3 and beyond.

♦ Ethereum Alliance - Tron DAO, dedicated to fostering web3’s worldwide adoption by building the infrastructure for a decentralized internet, has joined the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA). The EEA opens the door for businesses to integrate Ethereum blockchain technology into their routine processes.
⚔️ Let’s Not Fight - TheBadge, which offers decentralized dispute resolution, and Kleros, which verifies data and offers decentralized certification have partnered to reliably mediate the new economy.
Trending in 2023: Regulation Acceptance
🇮🇹 Taxing Crypto - The Italian Senate approved a 26% capital gains tax on cryptocurrency investments, which follows the approval of the Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) bill establishing a consistent regulatory framework for cryptocurrency in the European Union. MiCA is slated to come into effect in 2024.
🇨🇳 Trade Wins - The Chinese government launched a state-backed NFT marketplace to facilitate the trade of digital copyrights, property rights, and collectibles.
