💸 Blockchain Bonds - Siemens made a groundbreaking move towards modernizing traditional finance by issuing a digital bond worth €60M ($64M) on the Polygon blockchain, streamlining issuance processes, improving transparency, and enabling direct communication with buyers. The milestone demonstrates the ability of blockchain technology to make financial markets more accessible and democratic.
🎨 Art on the Chain - Centre Pompidou, home to France’s National Museum of Modern Art, will unveil a new exhibition examining the intersection between art and the blockchain featuring a collection of works from 14 digital artists, including NFTs from the CryptoPunks and Autoglyphs projects.
🚔 Crypto Crime Crackdown - U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren plans to reintroduce the Digital Asset Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2022, which aims to regulate cryptocurrencies and prevent their use for illegal activities. The new bill will cover Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) and Decentralized Finance (DeFi) protocols.
🪩 Collective Curation - To further decentralize the platform and empower its community, NFT trading platform Blur has launched Blur DAO. Members of the community will receive tokens and control of the protocol's value accrual and distribution.
🇨🇳 Beijing’s Blockchain Beacon - China’s Ministry of Science and Technology will develop the National Blockchain Technology Innovation Center in Beijing in efforts to establish national dominance in the blockchain technology race. The center will promote the application of distributed ledgers, while also prioritizing their development and industrialization.
🦊 MetaMask’s Web3 Welcome - MetaMask launched MetaMask Learn, a learning simulation platform designed to onboard newcomers into the web3 ecosystem. MetaMask Learn combines visual learning with action-oriented testing, providing users with an engaging tool to help in understanding complex web3 concepts.
🇯🇵 Next-Gen Dev Platform - Fujitsu’s recently launched web3 acceleration platform offers a developmental environment and range of service APIs to start-ups, partners, and universities, supporting their creation of the next generation of web3 applications and services.
