🎙 In the latest episode of DAO or Never we get a peek into DAO Palace – from inside the DAO Palace treehouse (literally) – through the perspectives and revelations of several participants. We hear about what was learned, the connections made, and future hopes for web3 projects and DAOs. If you crave meaningful relationships, substantive conversations, and hope in general – or if you’re just curious about what’s possible with DAOs – tune in. Available on Apple and Spotify.
🍷 NFTs and DAOs continue to permeate the mainstream conversation, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Club dVIN – a DAO that marries traditional wine culture with web3’s accessibility and accountability – is all over the news. Cheers to being recognized by Wine Spectator, Investopedia, Urban Daddy, Haute Living, and more.
🖥 Web3 isn’t just about technology. It’s about people – how we collaborate, compensate, and empower. That’s why it’s imperative to study the human issues in web3 and build tools that address them. In that vein, Why and How we SubDAO, presents the findings of a research project between RnDAO and Sobol that aims to understand DAO contributors, the roadblocks to their success, and how the DAO tooling ecosystem can become more strategic. Are you working to improve coordination and incentivization in web3? Let us know.
🗳 Proposal of the Week: Moloch DAO shall direct 500 WETH (~ ⅓ of its treasury) to Protocol Guild, to support the Ethereum core protocol contributors developing the scaling, security, and sustainability initiatives key to Ethereum's long term success.
If approved, this would be a significant operational and philosophical shift. Historically, Moloch DAO (and most DAOs) have given smaller grants to projects with specific deliverables. However, this proposal is seen as a way to achieve Moloch DAO's original goals of supporting the Merge and scaling, while also requiring less day-to-day input from DAO members.
🛠 Put your web3 values – distributed, autonomous, by the people – into action by utilizing tools being built within and for the blockchain. TABULA – born out of an impromptu Gnosis Guild hackathon* – is a publication platform hosted on a distributed, peer-to-peer, IPFS network. It’s censorship-resistant, permissionless, and allows for no single point of failure.
* Pauses to appreciate the genius and efficiency of impromptu hackathons that deliver a better, more trustable, way to do things. 🕯
